A shocking reshuffle of ministerial portfolio

Accra, Jan 25, Ghanadot - Even though he denied ever having the intention of reshuffling his ministers when he interacted with the media at the castle Osu during his one year accounts in office, President Mills has made a reshuffle to his current team of ministers.


In a press release which was signed by Mr Mahama Ayaraga, the Presidential spokesperson, Majority Leader, Hon Alban Bagbin, is moving to the Works and Housing Ministry, John Tia is going to the Information Ministry, Mrs Azumah Mensah takes charge of the Women and Children Ministry, while Akua Sena Dansua becomes the Minister of Youth and Sports.


Mr Mahama Ayariga is now moving to the Ministry of Trade and Industry as a deputy minister whiles Zita Okai Koi, the information Minister moves to the Ministry of Tourism.


Majority Chief Whip E.T. Mensah goes to the Employment and Social Welfare ministry, with former Deputy Attorney-General Martin Hamidu going to the Interior Ministry.


Mr Inusa Fusieni, the Member of Parliament for Tamale Central is going to the Energy Ministry as deputy Energy Minister and Mr Moses Nabinga becomes the new Northern Regional Minister.


Meanwhile, Mr Amano Kwao, the outgoing Minister of Employment and Social Welfare has been re-assigned to the castle as a Minister of State and Mr Cletus Avoka, the outgoing Minister of Interior is to become the Majority Leader with Mr Rashid Pelpou, the outgoing Sports Minister deputising him as a deputy Majority Leader.
