Count-down to Obama's day in Ghana

Accra, July 10, Ghanadot - President Obama will start his morning with a working breakfast meeting with leaders of the G-8,  and participating African countries (Angola, Algeria, Nigeria, and Senegal).

 

In attendance also will be six international organizations (United Nations, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, World Trade Organization, International Energy Agency, and Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development).

In the afternoon, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with South African President Jacob Zuma.

Later, the President will hold an open press conference.

The President will then travel to Rome, where he will meet with Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone at the Vatican, followed by a bilateral meeting with Pope Benedeict XVI.

 

Following the meeting, the President and his family will have an audience with the Pope.

In the evening, the President and the First Lady will depart Italy and travel to Accra, Ghana to arrive at Accra International Airport.
