THE LATE ALHAJI AIU MAHAMA TO BE BURIED IN TAMALE

The mortal remains of the former Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, will be laid to rest in Tamale on the afternoon of Sunday 18th November 2012.

The funeral service for the late Vice President will be held on Sunday morning at the Independence Square in Accra from 9am. The service is expected to end at 11:30am, in time for the mortal remains to be flown to Tamale at 12pm.

This evening (Saturday 17th November), from 6pm until 12 midnight, a candlelight vigil will be held at the NPP party headquarters, at Asylum Down.

The New Patriotic Party also wishes to announce to party faithful, sympathizers and the general public that a book of condolence has been be opened at the party’s headquarters in honour of the late Alhaji Aliu Mahama.

Books of condolence to mark the death of the former Vice President have also been opened in all regional party offices across the country.
