IMF' $1.17billion grant facility for Ghana approved

Accra, July 16, Ghanadot - Credible information available to Ghanadot indicates that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved a 1.17-billion-dollar facility grant for Ghana.


Out of this facility, 597 million dollars is expected to come in quickly for parliamentary approval before it rises for recess this Friday.

 

The funds are expected to support the country’s balance of payments and stabilized the economy.


The facility comes after Ghana secured another $535 million from the World Bank also for budgetary support.
