Ghana pledges open accounting as it prepares for oil revenues

Ghana's government will account for "every drop of oil and every cubic foot of gas" when it becomes Africa's newest energy producer next year, John Evans Atta Mills, the president, has pledged.

In an interview with the Financial Times in Accra, the capital, Mr Mills said Ghana was determined to avoid the pitfalls suffered by other oil producers......
