Coming Out of the World Cup Tournament

The BrainBuster

June 29, 2014

I cannot for the life of me understand why every one is surprised about the fate of the Black Stars and all the shenanigans that have accompanied it.

Why do people say that Ghana has been embarrassed?

In my view, all this plays into the narrative of the incompetent and asinine politicians, where they pretend to lead us and we also continue to defer to them.

What did we expect them to do....to act efficiently and enhance the chances of the team?

Really?

Do we actually think that our current crop of politicians and public servants have the capacity to envision, plan and execute anything of class and value?

That would have been contrary to the way they have always behaved; indeed it would have been against the laws of nature for a crab to beget a bird.

There is enough incontrovertible evidence to show that the leadership has always behaved like certified cretins and incurable morons who are totally ineducable and incapable of reform.....and worst of all, devoid of basic decency, and not worthy of the default term " honorable"....or "excellency".

Examples?

Well, here are a few off the top of my head without even pausing for breath

1. The lies about the health of the last President

2.The planning of a Presidential ghetto funeral

3. The conduct of the last elections and the revelations at the Supreme Court hearing.

4. The treatment of citizens who came before the Supreme Court

5. The misuse of state funds for the last election

6. The case of the missing still-born at KATH

7. The death of orphans at the Osu Children's home

8. Inadequate water and electricity

9. Inadequate sanitation and an absence of a sewage treatment plant for Accra 10. Almost monthly State Funerals for " heroes".

11. Gyeeda.

12. SADA

13. Woyome

15. The whole judgement debt cesspit

16. Merchant Bank

17. The Chinese loan

18. Galamsey

19. The state of the Tema motorway

20.Our chaotic and mediocre educational system

21. The medieval health care system and its arrogant administrators and rent seekers.

These several elements of our national pantomime are part of what propels people with a certain mindset to aspire to and covet leadership positions within the risible system that we dare to call public service and or "multi-party democracy", as practised in the fetid backwater which is the fourth world....of which ALL the countries in West Africa are prime examples.

Why should we be embarrassed by the snippets of dialogue from our public officials in Brazil?

Are they not the same individuals who wear black shirts to official functions....including POTROG himself?

Those of us who do know better, should not even be embarrassed by the antics of these buffoons.

We should have grown beyond them by now; unmasked them and seen them for what they really are; genetically equal to us but mentally and culturally subpar and not even worthy of a nodding acknowledgment.

The earlier we started describing and treating them as such, the better it will be for all of us.
