The Abuse of Blacks as Political Proxies

The racial angle is the route for all political causes in America.  Be sure if there is a cause for liberal Democrats to pursue, it would be carried on the backs of Blacks even if in the end that cause hurts Blacks.

There is currently a war on the Supreme Court in America.  And of course, Justice Clarence Thomas is the convenient beachhead for the liberal Democrat attack.  Senator Dick Durbin, Chairman of the Judicial Committee, and the infamous “shithole” abuse leaker, has started an inquiry about the ethics of the Supreme Court, using Justice Thomas as the conduit.

And why is Justice Clarence the necessary racial conduit and other justices are bypassed?  Of course, he is Black and conservative.  His weakness has been determined by his Black constituency.  Hardly any Black vote is conservative and this has been the case for decades.

As President Biden said, “You ain’t Black if you don’t vote for me.”  Simply put, we’ve been defined.

However, hate conservativism as much as you want, the tragedy will not be in the hatred. It is in the notion that Blacks are expected to vote along lines determined by white liberals.

This is the animus in the current situation against Justice Thomas.

“Newsworthy reports have highlighted the problem of the Supreme Court’s lack of ethical oversight. One of the biggest was the ProPublica account of conservative billionaire Harlan Crow befriending Justice Clarence Thomas and taking him and his wife on lavish vacations around the globe for decades, complete with private jet travel, yachting excursions, and extravagant lodging,” wrote Boston Globe.

Correction, the noteworthy is the Supreme Court itself; the reason being the need for liberal Democrats to break the conservative majority hold on the Court.  Justice Thomas, the lone Black among six conservative judges, has become the opportunist target.

It has to be Justice Thomas. He is vulnerable.  No surprise here.  Blacks would not feel racism here.  Presidents and members of Congress have rich friends who loan them mansions and estates as vocational locations. 

President Bill Clinton had flights on Jeffrey Epstein's "Lolita Express" private jet.  No ethical problems were lodged against him.

ProPublica, a liberal journal has to use Justice Thomas’s relationship with a rich friend to justify Supreme Court ethics.  Missing in this brave journalistic search is another alleged and highly problematic news about Justice Sonia Sotomayor, a liberal female Hispanic judge, also on the Court.

“Sotomayor didn't recuse from Random House cases despite gaining $3M from the publisher,” the Washington Examiner discovered at the same time ProPublica was making its claim on Justice Thomas, whose billionaire friend has no case in front of the court.

The bias of the search is stark.  But be certain, this is how liberal Democrats work the political system with journalism and lawfare.

At the tip of the effort against Justice Thomas is Senator Dick Durbin,  Chairman of the Judicial Committee.  He has yet to show any interest in others on the Supreme Court’s supposed ethical failings.

Mark Davis, a conservative political commentator wrote, “In an objective vacuum there's the question of whether or not any justice gets to have rich friends….Clarence Thomas is a constitutionalist. He's friends with Harlan Crowe. …. If I were to learn that Elena Kagan or Sonya Sotomayor was to be enjoying the largesse of a resort owned by George Soros, I wouldn't care at all because I would figure that she was just hanging with like-minded people.

But that’s not how it works for liberal Democrats.  Conservatives are the targets.  Had Justice Thomas been a Democrat, you would be sure to hear the cry of racism among Blacks.

Justice Thomas is not Black enough in his own community!  He has been a lightning rod for liberal Democrats since his nomination for the Supreme Court in 1991.

The attempt to stop Justice Thomas started with his nomination for the Supreme Court in 1991.  A brutal attack was unleashed to disqualify him through none other than another Black, Anita Hill, a  liberal and his legal assistant at the time.

Then Senator in charge of the Judiciary Committee was Joe Biden, now President Biden.  Durbin and Biden are political allies under the same Democrat Senate regime.  And Justice Thomas is being made vulnerable again.

Justice Thomas the non-Democrat Black, has become the go-to target.  Senator Durbin would never have used Justice Sonia Sotomayor, a Hispanic, or  Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, a Black liberal Democrat, as convenient proxy targets.

The attack order is already out on Justice Thomas.  ”The liberal justices should not let Thomas off the hook. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kegan must not let their love of the Supreme Court blind them to its problems,” thanks to an MSNBC report.

Be certain Senator Durbin would oblige. He has been good at manufacturing issues, though not necessarily true but emotionally concerning for Blacks.  He has done so effectively in the past to promote Democrat narratives and to affect the balance of power in Washington, DC.

Remember the case of “shit hole” countries under President Trump?  Yes, Senator Durbin was the leaker.  He was the only lawmaker, among many, to have heard that insult at a White House meeting in January of 2018.

“Sen. Dick Durbin asserted Tuesday that President Donald Trump called certain African nations “shithole countries” during a bipartisan meeting on immigration reform at the White House last week….,” CNN reported and instantly the news among the Black community was authenticated as credible.  The use of basic common sense would show Durbin’s assertion has no logical base.

The meeting with Trump was about immigration (DACA). The concern about immigration, at this time, was in the American hemisphere, a theme of which was about “Building the Wall,” as Trump had offered.

Building this “wall” could mostly impact Mexicans and Hispanic from South American countries.  Yet, by a twist of Durbin’s logic, citizens from the “shit hole” countries became Africans and Haitians. And, instantly, Africans and those in the Diaspora swallowed the lie and got riled. 

The “Shit hole” became Trump’s Waterloo.  Senator Dick Durbin’s attack on Justice Thomas tactically has the same emotional appeal to make him vulnerable for Democrats to pack the  Supreme Court.

In the name of racial politics, Blacks are being played again, for as long as it benefits liberals.  But trust the media to make it all about ethics!

Slate Magazine had this to say. “Republicans’ defenses of an Imperial Court that operates on the theory that the justices’ ethics are the justices’ business were either deflections or arguments that justices are essentially infallible gods.”

It goes on, “The ideology—that the Court is the one branch of government so lofty and perfect and sacred that it need not abide by any rules — is very on brand for the current GOP.  So are the lies designed to make the liberal justices look equally complicit in this mess.”

Presumably, liberal justices are angels.  Justice Sotomayor had no ethical question hanging over her head when she refused to recuse herself in a case affecting her publisher. She is Hispanic.  For Justice Thomas, the Black conservative jurist, there is this lack of jurisdictional respect. 

“These scandals or non-scandals do not all fall in the same bucket. Some are even arguably defensible under the current checkerboard regime of advisory rules (Gorsuch’s deal, for example), and some are not (Thomas’ private flights), wrote The Slate.

Even among conservative jurists, Justice Thomas has a problem.  Justice Gorsuch is white.  However, the Supreme Court can't set its own ethical rules when Justice Thomas is involved.  So, the Senate with Durbin at the helm must do it.

Then you come to think that there is a separation of powers and a balance of power in Washington, DC.  And that the separation between the Executive, the Congress, and the Judiciary is constitutional.  But this time, the separation must be breached because a Black conservative Justice is on the bench.  He has to be sacrificed!

The contradiction in treatment can be understood only when you come to understand how transactional Black interests are for liberal Democrat politics.
