Black Stars Coach names 20 players for Sudan match

The Coach of the Senior National Team, the Black Stars of Ghana, Milovan Rajevac has announced his team for Ghana's 2010 African Nations Cup and World Cup qualifier against Sudan on September 6.


Twenty players have earned call ups by the Serbian coach for the fourth qualifying game in Group D against the Nile Crocodiles at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra.


Defender, John Paintsil returns to the squad after missing the corresponding game in Omdurman through suspension. Ghana beat Sudan 2-0 in June.


Also coming back into the team is Laryea Kingston who was ruled out of June's qualifiers through injury.


The Black Stars on top of Group D, five points clear in the qualifiers and are in good place to reach a second successive World Cup finals.

Goalkeepers: Richard Kingson (Wigan Athletic, England), George Owu (Al Masry, Egypt) William Amamoo (Vaasaland, Sweden)
Defenders: John Paintsil (Fulham, England), Samuel Inkoom (Basel FC, Switzerland), Harrison Afful (Asante Kotoko, Ghana), John Mensah (Lyon, France), Eric Addo (Roda JC, Holland) Isaac Vorsah (Hoffenheim, Germany)

Midfielders: Stephen Appiah (Unattached), Michael Essien (Chelsea, England), Anthony Annan (Rosenborg, Norway), Sulley Muntari (Inter Milan, Italy), Laryea Kingston, (Hearts, Scotland) Opoku Agyemang (Al Sadd, Qatar), Haminu Draman (Locomotive Moscow, Russia)


Strikers: Asamoah Gyan (Rennes, France), Matthew Amoah (NAC Breda, Holland), Prince Tagoe (Hoffenheim, Germany) and Junior Agogo (Apollon Limassol, Cyprus).
