Hasaacas players abscond

Accra, July 21, Ghanadot/GNA - Sekondi Hasaacas Football Club have reported that six of their players have absconded from the team.

The players are Robert Adamatey, Richard Owusu, Amudu Biggi Alhassan, Suraj Samed, Joseph Doe and Patrick Adjei.

Mr Kweku Ampim-Darko, General Secretary (Technical) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in a release copied to GNA Sports on Saturday said Hasaacas reported of the players as having absconded from the team.

The release said Robert Adamatey has failed to report back after playing on loan to Samreboi Samartex in the 2006/2007 soccer season with Richard Owusu also not reported for training with the Club since it resumed training on June 5 this year.
In the case of Amudu Biggi Alhassan, the release said he has not been heard of again after been granted permission to visit his sick mother midway in the first round of the last soccer season.

Suraj Samed is said to have left unceremoniously to ply his trade in Benin in the 2005/2006 soccer season and has since not reported for training while Joseph Doe vanished in April 2007 to France and has since not been heard of.

Patrick Antwi is said to be a truant player who has consistently been on and off the team throughout last soccer season and has since this year (2007) not reported for training at all.

The release therefore warned that “Any Club, agent or organisation which deals with any of the players does so at his or her own risk since they all still have running contracts with Sekondi Hasaacas Football Club”.
