Maidens-DR Congo clash postponed

Accra, May 3, Ghanadot/GNA – The FIFA U-17 Women’s World U-17 between Ghana’s Black Maidens and their DR Congo counterparts, failed to come off on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.

This was due to the unconfirmed arrival of the Congolese to the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Information gathered by Ghana News Agency (GNA) Sports has it that, the match is likely to come off Monday, May 5 as the Congolese are expected in Accra on Sunday.
This is the second time the Congolese have failed to honour a game against their Ghanaian counterparts.

In 2006, the senior women’s team failed to turn up for an African women’s Championship qualifier against the Black Queens.
