Brazil defeats Ghana in a friendly

Accra, March 27, Ghanadot/GNA – The Black Stars of Ghana on Tuesday lost by a lone goal to the Samba Boys of Brazil in an international friendly game played in Sweden.

The only goal of the game was scored by Vagna Love in the 17th minute when he capitalized on poor marking by the Ghanaian defence to slot in the ball.

The Stars fought back in attempt to to cancel the lead but failed on some occasions to find the net.  The game was decided when in the dying minutes of the contest Haminu Draman, a defender, was shown the red card thereby causing a numerical disadvantage to weigh against the Ghana team.

The defeat of the Stars is the first by the team after the last conceded against the Brazilian side at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
