Reggie Rockston to rock the 'Old School' Reunion
Andrews Zugah - Ghanadot

Accra, Aug 27, Ghanadot - Hip life’s ‘Godfather’ and ‘Grandpapa’ Reggie Rockstone is poised to make a huge impact on this year's Joy FM's Annual Old Schools Reunion scheduled to take place at the Accra International Trade Fair Centre on Saturday, 29th August, 2009.

The Old Schools Reunion is a yearly event that brings back fond memories people had during their Senior Secondary School days and to relive those memorable days all over again.

Reggie accompanied by his 4 year old son, Ricky Osei in an interview said he spent most of his time in school concentrating on his talent as a musician and dancer than the regular academics.

He hopes to reminisce his days at Achimota Senior Secondary School in Accra on Saturday with raps and dancing skills.

The sensational rapper will however not disclosed the year he was in school, or the year he completed.

He admitted that Secondary School has played a major role in his career since it was the first place he showed his talent during entertainment.

He recalled an incident where a female teacher punished him to weed her house and as he was weeding, the teacher’s kids became shocked to see him weeding.

Their reaction prompted their mum to inquire who he was on campus. Reggie was very popular in school because he sings and dances very well her kids said.

The teacher asked him to dance to prove if that was true, a request he did not hesitate. After dancing he was pardoned by the teacher.

He also recounted when his mattress was hidden from the dormitory because his mates said it was disgracing the dormitory. He said he was stubborn in school which necessitated his suspension.

Reggie Rockstone was known to have a very bushy hair during his school days. He used three mirrors to dress his hair and he used the famous physics book, Abort to shape the hair.

Today, Reggie who now has dread locks says he is busy having kids, taking care of his family and trying to stay young.

He was happy with changes that have come into the hip life music scene. He said the new artistes are doing very well and was also happy of the high standards and revolution Famous People, a music video production company has brought into music video industry.

His current album, ‘Registration’ he says will be out soon and it has tracks like ‘Where am from’ which features Sena and ‘Hustling Day’.

He disclosed that he has been nominated to be inducted into the BET Hall of Fame and he recently featured on BET’s Cypher which is a free style rap section between top rap artistes.

This year’s old school reunion is billed to see performances from old and new artist like, Obrafuor Native Funk Lords (NFL), Sakordie, R2Bees, Ayigbe Edem and others.
