Aglow Women organizes thanksgiving
service
Accra, Dec.15, Ghanadot/GNA - Mrs Dorothy Danso, President
of Aglow Women's International, a non-denominational
fellowship, asked Ghanaian women not to be complacent with
their success but to work harder to achieve higher feats.
She also called for the promotion of patriotism to help move
the country forward.
Mrs Danso was speaking at a thanksgiving service, organised
by Aglow Women's International, a non-denominational
fellowship, on Saturday in Accra.
The event was held to show the groups appreciation for God's
blessing bestowed on the nation and to commemorate its 40th
anniversary.
Mrs Gifty Afienya-Dadzie, National Prayer Director of the
group, encouraged Ghanaians especially women to ensure sound
sanitary practices and to protect the environment from
degradation.
She said " The money government's spends on filt could be
channeled into other areas of development."
Mrs Afienya-Dadzie asked Ghanaians to desist from sin and
reminded the people that obedience to God was the surest way
to eternal life.
She noted that the nation's development depended much on
women and advised them to send their children to school to
enable them to acquire knowledge and skill necessary for
national development.
