Changes in membership of Committees announced

Accra, Nov 23, Ghanadot/GNA - Mr Abraham Ossei Aidooh, Majority Leader and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs on Friday announced changes in the chairmanship and membership of some select committees in Parliament.


Mr Benjamin Kofi Ayeh (NPP, Upper Denkyira West) is now the Vice Chairperson of the Committee on Communication; while Ms Christine Churcher (NPP-Cape Coast) replaces Mr Yaw Osafo-Maafo (NPP-Akyem Oda).


Dr Mathew Antwi (NPP-Atwima Kwanwoma) replaces Mr Isaac Edumadze (NPP-Ajumako-Enyan Essiam) on the Select Committee on Education as member.


On the Committee of Environment, Mr Yaw Osafo- Maafo replaces Mr Yaw Asiedu-Mensah, MP for Dormaa West, while Mr Albert Kan-Dapaah (NPP-Afigya Sekyere West), replaces Mr J B Danquah (NPP-Akim Abuakwa North).


Mr P. C Appiah-Ofori (NPP-Asikuma-Odoben Brakwa) now replaces Mr Kan Dapaah as Chairman of the Select Committee on Road Transport.


On the Committee of Subsidiary Legislation, Mr Asiedu-Mensah replaces the late Akwasi Afrifa.
