Vote for Atta Mills to build a sound economy—Hike Hammah
Winneba, Sept. 22, Ghanadot/GNA — A government under Prof.
John Atta Mills would implement policies that would build a
good economy for Ghanaians, Mr. Mike Hammah, NDC
parliamentary aspirant for Effutu, has said.
He said this when addressing the Winneba Branch of the Ghana
Physically Challenged Association in Winneba.
Mr. Hammah assured the members that when voted to power
Prof. Mills would create enabling environment and train the
physically challenged to unearth their potentials.
He said this would not only broaden the base of national
development but also ensure that the benefits of economic
growth are distributed equally to reduce poverty.
Mr. Hammah urged Ghanaians to vote massively for the NDC to
reconstruct the economy for better.
He said the Electoral Commissioner by “the mandate given by
the constitution has a crucial role to ensure that the
collective will of the people is exhibited by ensuring free,
fair and transparent election”.
Mr. Hammah suggested a comprehensive national security
policy to ensure that there is peace and stability.
He called on all stakeholders including the clergy,
traditional authorities and civil society to do all they
could, to ensure the credibility of the election.
Mr. John Takyi, chairman of the Association, appealed to all
stakeholders in the December election to ensure a
transparent, fair and peaceful election.
“Should war break out we the physically challenged would be
at a disadvantage because we cannot run”.
Mr. Takyi suggested that their share of the Common Fund
should no longer be routed through district assemblies but
through the National Association of the Disabled.
