I will restore CPP's structure for victory in 2008-Dedey

Ho, July 31, Ghanadot/GNA- Mr Michael Kosi Dedey, Acting Volta Regional Education Secretary of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) has stated that he would restore the Party's structure and unite all factions for victory in the 2008 General Election if given the nod as the Party's General Secretary in the forthcoming delegates’ conference.

He said what the CPP needed at "this crucial time" was a "credible and open minded secretary to move the Party forward" and that he possessed such qualities.

Mr Dedey, who was speaking to pressmen in Ho at the weekend, observed that the lack of trust and communalism remained the bane of the Nkrumaist Party and expressed his desire to promote dialogue among all factions in the Party for victory in the 2008 elections.

He said the time of championing individual interest at the expense of the Party was over and the need for all to sacrifice to " save the country and restore hope to its people".

Mr Dedey said he has all the youthful qualities and leadership skills needed to bring back discipline and decorum into the Party's structures and appealed to the delegates to vote for him to move the Party into power in 2008.

He expressed his discontent about the New Patriotic Party's seven years of governance and said its constant focus on materialism and over dependence on external aids was making the masses loose faith in themselves.

Mr Dedey said when voted into power, the CPP would inspire confidence into the populace for self reliance focused on human development which would lead to accelerated growth.

He called on Ghanaians not to deny themselves the alternative of voting the CPP into power.
