More Ministerial appointments by
President Kufuor
Accra, July 18, GNA - President John Agyekum Kufuor on
Wednesday submitted the next list of Ministerial portfolios
to Parliament for vetting and approval.
A statement signed by Mr. Kwadwo Mpiani, the Chief of Staff
named the following as the nominees: Mr Abraham Osei Aidoo,
Minister of Parliamentary Affairs; Ms Esther Obeng Dapaah,
Minister of Lands, Forestry and Mines and Mr Godfred T.
Boyon as the Minister of State at the Ministry of Transport.
Four Deputy Ministers, namely Mr Kenwood Nuworsu, Manpower,
Youth and Employment; Mr Kofi Osei Ameyaw, Tourism and
Diaspora Relations; Ms Vicky Bright, Communications and
Reverend Dr. Akwasi Owusu-Bi, Trade, Industry, Private
Sector Development and PSI were also nominated.
Deputy Regional Ministers were Mr Samuel K. Obodai, Central
Region; Mr Ofosu Asamoah, Eastern Region; Mrs Agnes A.
Chigabatia, Upper East Region and Mrs Winifred Asibi
Dy-Yakah, Upper West Region.
The statement indicated that the President performed this as
a constitutional mandate.
