Mills starts first phase of Central Region tour

Accra, July 14, Ghanadot/GNA - The leader and Presidential Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor John Evans Atta Mills, begins a tour of the Central Region on Tuesday.

The NDC leader would be in his home region throughout the working week, visiting Upper Denkyira East, Upper Denkyira West, Hemang Lower Denkyira and Ati-Mokwa constituencies, according to a statement issued in Accra by Mr Koku Anyidoho, Head of Communications of the Prof. Mills' Office.

The statement said the NDC leader would unfold his agenda of building a "Better Ghana" through investing in people, job creation, building a strong economy at the national, regional, district, and community levels, infrastructure expansion and operating an honest, open and transparent government.

Prof. Mills, who is currently in Kumasi, where he has inaugurated the Ashanti Region Zongo Caucus, would enter the Central Region through the Ashanti Region.

He would pass Obuasi with his one-on-one retail campaigning on Monday, July 14, before moving into the Central Region.

Professor Mills' running mate, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, is also in the Brong Ahafo Region with the NDC's "Better Ghana" agenda.
