Old CPP is back and nothing can stop us - Nduom

Asamankese, April 10, Ghanadot/GNA – Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, Flagbearer of the Convention People’s party (CPP), stormed Asamankese on Wednesday declaring that the spirit of the old CPP is back to life and nothing could stop it from regaining power.

“The spirit of the dynamic CPP of former President Dr Kwame Nkrumah’s days has resurrected and we are determined to wrestle power and bring work and happiness to all Ghanaians,” he told cheering party faithful and sympathisers at four separate forums at Asamankese.

The visit which was initially planed to be courtesy calls on the Chiefs of Asamankese and Anum-Asamasnkese and visit the two Zongo communities in the township, later turned to be mini-rallies.

Dr Nduom was warmly received with jubilations at the four places especially at the Old Zongo and Sabon Zongo both at Asamankese.

He said the major pre-occupation of the CPP government was to create jobs for the teaming unemployed people and that the old CPP did it and the new CPP would replicate it to ensure that people earned worthwhile incomes that would improve the quality of their lives.

The CPP Flagbearer promised that, his campaign would be devoid of insults and attacks.

He said he would only tell the people of what the CPP under him would be capable of doing and sought their support to win the December elections.

Dr Nduom promised that under the CPP government, Ghanaians would have their dignity restored adding that, the image of the country was so high during the days of Dr Nkrumah that, many non-Ghanaian Africans overseas claimed to be Ghanaians.

Mr Felix Amoah, Chairman of the Nduom for President Campaign Committee said the CPP would not give vain promises for the sake of attaining political power.

Osabarima Kwaku Amoah III, Chief of Asamankese called for peace in the country before, during and after the December general elections.

He called on all political parties to preach peace, love, unity and work for the greater good of Ghana.
