 Amoafo Yeboah Promises Better Economy
Audrey Micah, Ghanadot

November 25, Ghanadot - An independent presidential candidate in the December race, Mr. Kwesi Amoafo Yeboah has urged Ghanaians to look at this year’s general election as a platform for change. He said Ghana would be an economically stabled country when he is elected as the next president of the nation.

He reiterated that, creating job opportunities for the youth in the country is the surest way to fight the ever increasing crime rate in the country. To him crimes will continue to soar if the government does not do something urgently to ensure that the youth of Ghana are given the necessary training which will put money into their pocket.

He said the major political parties in the country have made campaigning in Ghana very expensive since there is no focus and direction in them. To him, campaigning for votes from electorates should not be based on how many billboards you have or how many adverts you have placed in the print and electronic media but rather how well your message have been taken and understood by electorates.

“In other to compete with the major political parties, you need money and I can’t go and spend about $30 million, it does not make any sense to me especially when I know that even if I have that kind of money I could create employment to people and that will eventually benefit me and all Ghanaians”.

Mr. Amoafo Yeboah bemoans the Electoral Commission (EC) for the poor distribution of the 50 vehicles to all political parties. He said the EC was able to make this provision for all the political parties without thinking about the independent candidates who are also out there campaigning.

The independent presidential candidate disclosed that Ghanaians are getting the message that the time for the NDC and the NPP are over, because they have realized that these political parties have served a considerable terms which ahs not benefited the nation in any way, thus the need for him to become president to change the fortunes of the nation.
