NPP is committed to peaceful and transparent election

Nsawam, Nov. 24, Ghanadot/GNA – Mr Frank Annoh-Dompreh, Chairman of Freedom Advocates, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) club in Nsawam in the Eastern Region, has reiterated the party’s commitment to peaceful and transparent election.


He has, therefore, urged supporters of the NPP to leave the polling stations after voting for their respective destinations to avoid any misunderstanding or electoral violence.


Mr Annoh-Dompreh, who made the call at an NPP rally at Adoagyiri, also called on the supporters to vote massively for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the presidential candidate of NPP for a better future.


He said the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ruled the nation for 19 years and during that period many state factories and firms were diversified leading to the creation of unemployment.


Mr Annoh-Dompreh said in the NPP’s eight years in office, youth employment have been generated through the National Youth Employment Programme in the areas such as teaching, community policing and micro finance loan schemes.
He said another significant change under the NPP was the fact that people could now express themselves freely without threat. The journalist, he added, new enjoys press freedom.


Mr Michael Ampong, a member of the Nana Akufo-Addo’s campaign team said Nana Akufo-Addo would continue the positive achievements of President Kufuor’s administration when voted into office.


Mr Ampong assured the people that under Nana Akufo-Addo, farmers would benefit from pension as well as free healthcare as was being done for pregnant women.


Mr Titus Glover, also on the Nana Akufo-Addo’s campaign team, said the NPP government is a reliable and stable one, which has a great vision for the people to enhance their living standards.
