and take loans
Bolgatanga, Oct. 13, Ghanadot/GNA - Mr Hardi Mohammed,
Project Officer of Builsa Community Bank has appealed to
market women and the public to save with the rural banks to
enable them take loans to expand their businesses.
He said they could in addition, form groups for the members
to guarantee each other to qualify for loans.
Mr Mohammed was speaking at a road show organized by Stracom
Communication Consultancy and sponsored by Support Programme
for Enterprise Empowerment (Speed) at Bolgatanga at the
weekend.
It was to educate the public and business entreprenuers on
the importance of savings, available opportunities to take
loans from rural banks, the need to sell or buy only
wholesome goods and consumers' right to reject expired or
sub-standard goods.
Mr Mohammed explained the different types of savings they
could access and the advantage to take loans but warned them
that they would be expected to re-pay the loans within a
specific time to enable them and others continue to benefit.
He advised those who had taken loans from the bank to re-pay
them on time.
Mr Tony Klu, Communications Officer for Strarcom, advised
managements of rural banks to get closer to their clients to
enable them interact freely on their economic activities.
Similar programmes would be held at Navrongo and Sandema all
