Politicians urged to meet needs of
electorates
Prestea (W/R), Aug 14,
Ghanadot/GNA - Nana Abena Apee, regent of Himan in
the Pretea-Huni Valley District, has advised politicians to
make electorates’ needs especially the youth, their utmost
priority when voted into power.
She said they should be mindful of their words and promises
when they mount political platforms.
The regent said this during a political forum organized by
the Non Aligned Movement, a youth group based at Prestea,
for parliamentary aspirants in the Prestea-Huni Valley
constituency at Prestea.
The forum was to give the aspirants an opportunity to
explain their visions to the people.
Among the aspirants were Mr Mubashir Tamimu Dari, Convention
People's Party (CPP), Mr Charles Adu Fordjour, Democratic
Freedom Party (DFP), Mr Osei Kuffour, an independent
candidate, Mr Kwasi Blay, National Democratic Congress (NDC)
and the incumbent MP, Mr Albert Kwaku Obin of New Patriotic
Party (NPP).
Nana Apee said she was happy about the way the parliamentary
candidates spoke during the forum, which she said signified
that, they have something positive for the constituency
especially in the area of education and infrastructural
projects.
