Shortage of registration materials
hit some parts of Hohoe

Shortage of registration materials continue to be a major
hurdle for the smooth registration of voters at a number
registration centres at Hohoe, in the Volta Region.
Mr Wilberforce Drai and Ms Francisca Sorsoe, Registration
Officers at the E.P. Junior High School and Saint Teresa's
Registration Centres in Hohoe respectively said they stopped
the exercise before midday on Wednesday because the
materials got finished.
About 1,350 had registered at the E.P JHS centre as at
1130hours on Wednesday, whilst 932 people had done so at the
Saint Theresa’s centre by 1300 hours the same day.
Mr David Acheampong, Hohoe Municipal Electoral Officer,
however, assured that more supplementary forms were expected
from Ho and appealed with the people to bear with the
Electoral Commission.
At Kadjebi there were long queues of people at the Zongo
Local Authority and Freetown Mobile Registration centres on
Wednesday.
Mr Elias Kpodo, a registration officer at the mobile
Freetown centre said 98 applicants were processed as at 1500
hours on Wednesday.
