No restriction on cement import -

Accra, March 29, GNA - There is no restriction on the
importation of cement in any form, the Ministry of Trade,
Industry, Private Sector Development and Private Sector
Initiative said in a statement in Accra on Thursday.
In a statement signed by Mr Kodua Edjekumhene, Public
Relations Officer, the Ministry said it had come to its
attention that individuals and companies interested in
importing cement were not clear about the existing
government policy on the importation of cement.
"The Ministry wishes to inform the general public that there
is no restriction whatsoever on the importation of cement in
any form, whether as a finished product of in terms of its
raw materials component," the Ministry said.
