for funds to complete factory
Worawora (V/R), Mar. 19, Ghanadot/GNA-Miss Esther Odamea,
Assembly Woman for the Osoroasuom Electoral Area in the
Jasikan district of the Volta Region, has appealed to the
Ministry of Women and Children's Affairs to support women in
the area to complete their palm oil extraction factory.
In an interview with the Ghana New Agency (GNA) on Monday at
Worawora, Miss Odamea she said the Canadian International
Development Agency (CIDA) had channelled 214 million cedis
out of a projected 480 million cedis through the Ministry of
Food and Agriculture (MOFA).
The amount, she said had gone into the construction of
structures and some equipment at the proposed factory.
Miss Odamea said the remaining amount was needed for office
equipment, fencing of the premises and extension of water
and electricity to the factory.
She thanked CIDA for the assistance and hoped the Ministry
and other NGOs would provide the needed support to get the
women into production to raise their living standards.
