West African Examination Council (WAEC) cancels
English paper 1 for Exams
Andrew Zugah, Ghanadot
Accra, May 8, Ghanadot - Agnes Tei
Cudjoe, Head of Public Relations at WAEC said
English Paper 1 of the ongoing West Africa Examination Council
has been cancelled because
it has been “compromised.”
Asked how the paper was compromised, Mrs. Cudjoe said “it is a
mystery we are still trying to unravel.”
According to her, quite a number of students of that school had
access to the paper even before it was written.
The paper will be re-taken on May 27, 2009 at all examination
centers, a day before the entire examination will come to an
end.
Mrs. Agnes Cudjoe said investigation has already begun into the
leakage of the examination papers and the findings and punitive
measures will soon be made public.
