Court disqualifies NPP MP from holding seat

Accra, July 15, Ghanadot -The High
Court in Accra has today disqualified the Member of
Parliament (MP) for Bawku Central, Adamu Dramani, from
holding the seat.
Mr Dramani was dragged to court by a herdsman from the
constituency who accused him of holding dual citizenship. An
allegation which the MP denied.
After the ruling by the court, the MP expressed his
disappointment in an interaction with the Press and said his
lawyers have already initiated an appeal process against the
verdict.
He was however hopeful that the appeal would be in his
favour.
