can confirmed that, fire has gutted some of the offices of
the Information Ministry which include that of the deputy
Minister of Information, Hon Okedzeto Ablorkwa, though it
has been brought under control.
The raging fire would have caused more damages but for the
timely intervention of personnel from the fire service.
Workers at the ministry have however evacuated from the
building with no casualties recorded.
In an interview with Ghanadot, The
deputy Information Minister, Hon James Agyenim Boateng said,
the source of the fire was suspected to be from an electric
fault.
He explained, the light had been off when they left the
Ministry around 2pm for a meeting and suspect the fire was
triggered immediately power was restored.
Hon Agyenim Boateng revealed, it is the office of his
colleague deputy Information Minister, Hon Ablorkwa that was
razed by the fire and some properties had been destroyed at
the office.
