President Mills withdraws nomination of Deputy Communication Minister
By Abdul Salam Sule, Ghanadot

Accra, March 10, Ghanadot - The President, Prof John Evans Attah Mills has withdrawn the nomination of Dr Nartey Siaw Sapore, the deputy Communication Minister designate.

The statement by the President was read to the members of Parliament this morning before the vetting of deputy ministers designate begun.

No reason has however been given for the withdrawal of the deputy Communication Minister.

The withdrawal of Dr Nartey Siaw means that the appointment committee of Parliament can no longer vet him as the nominee for deputy Communication Minister.

The withdrawal of the nominee by the President has brought to two the number of Ministers whose nomination had been withdrawn.
The first casualty of the withdrawal of the nominee ministers was Hon Moses Asaga, Minister designate, for Works and Housing.

What led to his withdrawal by President was that, he was alleged to have issued a cheque for the ex-gratia awards to be paid to the former President and Members of Parliament without informing the President.

Meanwhile, ghanadot will in its consequent editions bring to light what accounted for the action of the President to withdraw the nomination of Dr Nartey Siaw Sapore as deputy Mnister designate for Communications.
