Accra, Oct 2, Ghanadot - National
Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC),
Madam Ama Benyiwa Doe, has decided not to join the race for
re-election.
Madam Benyiwa Doe, who is now Central Regional Minister,
said her decision to quit from the race of Women Organizer’s
position is to allow others to contribute their quota for
the development of the party.
According to her, she has decided not to run again because
she, as Regional Minister, needs ample time to concentrate
fully on the management of the Central Region Developments,
saying that there are other competent personalities within
the party who can effectively and equally manage the affairs
of the party as she has done for the past years.
Meanwhile, the party’s First Deputy National Women’s
Organiser, Hajia Mariam Sinare, has told newsmen that she is
fully in the race to mobilise to get the mandate to
effectively organise the NDC women to retain power in the
2012 general elections.
