Mahama's freinds want Ashanti NDC restructured

“FRIENDS OF John Mahama”
Association, the Vice President of Ghana has called for the
expeditious re-organization of the constituencies,
branches and wards of the
National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the
Ashanti region.
The group appealed to the regional minister to, as a matte
of urgency, invite the NDC Regional Executive members to
find ways and means to re-organize the party at all levels
in the Ashanti region.
This is expected to consolidate the chances of the party
to retain and sustain power in 2012 and beyond.
The call came after the group lead by its
Ashanti
Regional chairman;
Dr. Kofi
Annan had called on the regional Minister, Mr. Kofi
Poku Manu to discuss the weak leadership of the party in the
region.
It has announced its intention to liaise with the regional
Minister to strategize a working plan for the party and
urged the Regional Minister to use his good offices to
bridge the gap between eh party and its followers so that
the structures would be consolidated.
The group has therefore urged the minister to quickly invite
the rest of the regional executives of the party to a
meeting to find an antidote to the wrangling in the party.
It was observed that the appointment of some of the party
executives has weakened the party leadership.
