Calm returns to National Service Secretariat
Audrey Micah. Ghanadot

Accra, Oct 16, Ghanadot - Uneasy calm has returned to the Head office of the National Service Secretariat following the mass resignation of the entire staff of the Accounts Department.

Officers of that Department have fallen out of favour with Mr Vincent Kuagbenu, the Executive Director following his request for his Out of Station Allowance covering eight working days.

Information gathered by Ghanadot indicated that one of the Account Officers questioned the propriety of such a request when he knows that the Executive Director did not spend the entire eight days and night out of Accra.

Upon receiving that information, reports say, Mr. Vincent Kuagbenu in a rage of anger ordered the Accounts Officer to leave the office and never come back. In solidarity, his colleagues in the Accounts Department have resigned en-masse.

The Deputy Director of the Secretariat, Mr Nii Laryea Squire, when contacted, acknowledged receipt of the mass resignation of the Staff of the Accounts Department.

Mr Kuagbenu was appointed Executive Director of the National Service Secretariat in July this year and has since brought some shake up in the system there.

His abrasive and uncompromising Management Style has incurred the wrath of many of the employees at the Secretariat. The Workers have already petitioned the office of the President on Mr. Kuagbenu’s leadership style.

Information reaching Ghanadot indicated that nine more workers at the National Service Secretariat (NSS) are reportedly resigned over the managerial and administrative style of its Executive Director, Vincent Senam Kuagbenu.

This brings to 14 the number of resigned workers in solidarity with the entire staff of the accounts department who resigned due to the dismissal of an account officer Mr. James Osei Kwadwo on Wednesday.
