Christians should embrace challenges - Moderator

Accra, 4 Oct. Ghanadot/GNA- Right Reverend Dr. Yaw Frimpong Manso, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has called on Christians not to be discouraged when faced with stumbling blocks in the pursuit of their ambitions.

“Most People become easily discouraged and inactive when plagued with the least hindrance in the pursuance of their dreams. This should not be said of Christians since our helper is God most high.”

Addressing the congregation of North Kaneshie Presbyterain Church on the occasion of its elevation from a sub district to a district church, Dr. Frimpong-Manso charged Christians not to conform to the world but always endeavour to leave lives worthy of emulation.

He called on all Presbyterians to preach the gospel of Christ, work towards unity and total wellbeing of the church in order to fulfil the church’s mission statement.

“All hands must be on deck if we are to be successful in our endeavour to build a credible and dynamic church.”

Rev. Frimpong-Manso praised the church for the elevation and appealed to the members not to become complacent by the achievements of the mission but must work to make a positive impact on the on the communities it serve.

Rev. Samuel Nana Agyemang, Minister in Charge of North Kaneshie Presby Church used the occasion to thank the founding fathers of the mission for their good works and called on the congregation to be united and always rally behind him in his quest to do God’s work.

“Now is the time for us to put on God’s armour so that we can be defensive and offensive to the work of God and the Church,” he said.
He pledged to abide by the structures and the tenets of the PCG to grow and to nurture the new district of the Church.
