the Police Hospital, a result of in
yesterday’s clashes at Agbogbloshie.
He was one of two people seriously injured in
the violent clashes in the area.
This brings to three the number of young men who died in the
disturbances. The deceased are believed to be members
brought in from the north by a rival faction to shore up
their position in the battle for turf.
DSP Kwesi Ofori, Public Relations officer of the Police
service in an interview on Joy FM said the police were
checking medical facilities in the capital to find out if
any injured persons as a result of the fighting are
receiving treatment somewhere.
According to him, a number of people were picked up by the
police who had sustained some injuries and sent to the
police hospital, hoping they would
help the police in their investigation
after treatment. But
unfortunately one of them died.

He said a police patrol team, augmented by an armoured
squadron, had been detailed to the Konkomba market - which
has gained notoriety for violent clashes with political,
