Aliu to visit US

Acra, June 26, Ghanadot/GNA – Former vice president Alhaji Aliu Mahama leaves Accra on Monday for Chicago, US, to honour an invitation by the North America Alumni Association of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).


This is part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of the alumni which begins on July 1 on the theme: “Mobilising our resources to help our alma mater.”


A statement signed by Mr Alhassan Abdul-Wahab, Special Assistant, said the former vice president was being invited to assist the association to mobilise resources to help his alma mater not only as a former vice president but also an alumnus.


It said while in the US, Alhaji Mahama would meet with Tamale/Louisville sister city organization to discuss development issues bothering the Northern Region and Tamale in particular.
