New COCOBOD deputy
Chief Executives named
Accra, May 13, GNA – Dr Yaw Adu-Ampoma, Executive
Director of the Cocoa Research Institute, and Alhaji Dramani
Egala, former head of the Cocoa Marketing Company, have been
appointed as deputy Chief Executives of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD).
A statement from the Ministry of Finance to the Ghana News
Agency (GNA), said Dr Adu-Ampoma is now deputy Chief Executive
in charge of Agronomy and Quality Control.
This follows the elevation of Mr Tony Fofie, who held that
position till he became the Chief Executive.
Alhaji Egala is now deputy Chief Executive, Operations.
He succeeds Mr Charles Ntim, whose long-term contract at the
position had ended.
The appointments take immediate effect.
The two new deputies have been key players in Ghana’s cocoa
industry with vast experience spanning 12-15 years, an industry
source told theGNA.
