 Don’t attack Togbe Afede’s personality - FROPAG

Tema, May 11, GNA – The Forum for Positive Agenda (FROPAG) on Monday appealed to the public especially members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to desist from verbally attacking the personality of Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of Asogli.

The group said a statement made by Togbe Afede during President John Evans Atta Mills’ visit to the Volta Region represented the feelings and aspirations of majority of the people of the region.

This was contained in a statement signed by the General Secretary of the group, Mr Nicholas Gborse, issued at Tema.

The statement said “we consider it very regrettable that certain members of the opposition and NPP commentators could descend heavily on the hard won character and personality of Togbe Afede.”

It said FROPAG, which is a pressure group made up of past university and polytechnic students in Tema and Ashaiman, is committed to national unity and cohesion.
