Subin MP pledges to work with assembly members

Kumasi, April 30, Ghanadot/GNA – The Member of Parliament for Subin in Kumasi, Mr Isaac Osei, has pledged to work closely with assembly members in the constituency to ensure that the area got its fair share of development projects.

He said closer and effective collaboration between him and the assembly members was the surest way to bring ideas together and work towards improving the socio-economic development of the people in the area.

Speaking at a breakfast meeting with assembly members in the constituency, Mr Osei said he was committed to his earlier promise that he would serve the people of Subin without any discrimination.

He said one of his priorities would be to provide scholarship to needy but brilliant students and pupils in the constituency, adding that he would also liaise with appropriate authorities to fence schools in the constituency to ensure security and the protection of school lands.

Mr Osei also inspected a dilapidated footbridge at Anlo Fante Newtown, which is said to have become a death trap and has claimed one life.

He expressed concern about the state of the bridge that pupils of the Obiri Yeboah Cluster of Schools cross to attend classes.

The MP also expressed concern about the deplorable nature of drains in the Anlo Fante Newtown and called on the appropriate authorities to take immediate steps to address the problem.
