Nkoranza North rejects aspiring DCE

Nkoranza (B/A), March 24, Ghanadot/GNA – Nkoranza North Constituency of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) on Monday petitioned the leadership of the party against the nomination of Mr Kwadwo Adjei-Dwumor as District Chief Executive.

Mr Kwadwo Adjei-Dwumor was the NDC parliamentary candidate for the constituency during last year’s general elections, but lost to Major Derek Oduro (rtd) of the New Patriotic Party.

He is currently among the contestants seeking the position of District Chief Executive (DCE).

In a letter signed by Constituency Secretary, Mr Kofi Adu-Bediako, 11 executive members of the party complained that Mr Adjei Dwumor “has not been cordial with them and will not respect us when given the position”.

They accused him of refusing to join the party’s campaign during the presidential run-off after he lost the parliamentary election.
Mr Adjei-Dwumor was reported to have made some promises to the regional and national executives of the party to be of good behaviour but had refused to fulfil such promise.

The letter was copied to the Regional Office of the party, security agencies and the media.
