Georgette Djaba, in support of Allan Kyerematen
I, Lawyer Georgette Dede Djaba, born in Koforidua, New Juaben
South and currently resident in London, UK hereby fully endorse
Candidate Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen in the forthcoming NPP
flagbearership elections to be held on Saturday August 7th,
2010. I fully support him for the following reasons:
Ø Alan is an extremely committed and loyal member of the New
Patriotic Party.
Ø He has served on the Highest Decision making body of the NPP
as a member of the National Executive Committee from 1992-2001.
Ø He distinguished himself as the first chairman of the Young
Executive Forum (YEF), a special organ of the N.P.P. Other
Members of this group included: Mr. Kan Dapaah, Mr. Osei Adjei.
Mr. Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu, Courage Quashigah, Mr. Peter Mac Manu,
Mr. Kwabena Agyapong among others. The YEF was the financial
backbone during the birth of the N.P.P. and contributed to the
purchase of the first N.P.P. Head Quarters Building.
Ø Due to His Exceptional leadership qualities, he was nominated
as a presidential aspirant by the YEF in the N.P.P. Presidential
primaries in 1996.
Ø He has the ability and capacity to strengthen the structures
of the party and rebuild its financial strength. He is on record
as having pioneered the establishment of the Constituency
Business Ventures (CBVs) within the NPP.
Ø A skilful Diplomat, he was the first Ambassador of Ghana to
the United States of America under the NPP Administration.
He is a bridge between the Young and the Old in the NPP and has
the values and characteristics that will attract women and
floating voters.
Ø He is principled and will always defend what is right.
Ø Dynamic, Energetic, Charismatic, Affable and Handsome.
Ø He is God fearing, Humble, Respectful and Sympathetic to the
plight of the ordinary Ghanaian.
Ø He is a visionary, Innovative and Resourceful leader with
Fresh and innovative ideas.
Ø He is acknowledged as a Reputable Business Manager who became
a Senior Cooperative Executive of Unilever Ghana Limited (UAC);
the first Chief Executive of Empretec-an internationally
accredited Business Development Organization.
Ø He trained and mentored over 70% of “New Generation Successful
Captain of Business” in Ghana.
Ø He was the First Director of the United Nations Development
Programs (UNDP) Enterprise Africa- the Flagship Private Sector
Development Programme for UNDP in Africa.
Ø Due to his accomplishments in Africa, he was appointed as a
member of the Board of Governors of the British Executive
Service Organization (BESO) – a leading International Senior
Executive Service Corps.
Ø As a cabinet Minister responsible for Trade, Industry,
President’s Special Initiatives and Private Sector Development,
he championed the PSI’s under President Kufuor which sought to
introduce new Economic Growth Poles for Ghana based on creating
value chain linkages between raw materials and finished products
for domestic and export markets.
Ø Under PSI on Oil Palm; 50,000 hectares of oil palm plantations
were cultivated. 33 Nursery Sites with the capacity of producing
4 million Oil Palm seedlings were established.
Ø Under PSI on Cassava- Starch, an ultra modern industrial
starch plant with the capacity of producing 20,000tons of starch
for export was also established. On inception of the programme,
10,000 farmers were mobilized to cultivate different varieties
of cassava for processing.
Ø Under PSI on garments, 10 Medium Scale Garment Factories owned
by Local Entrepreneurs were established with the capacity to
employ 5000 workers and to produce an average of 300,000
garments per month for export to the United States under the
AGOA Initiative.
Ø Under the PSI on Salt, 24 Medium Scale Industrial Salt Mining
Companies were assisted to expand their productions and
introduce new technologies.
Ø He demonstrated he is a UNIFIER in the Party. He stepped down
as a runner up in the 2007 NPP Presidential Primaries to
preserve the unity of the Party during the Run-off.
Ø He is a Winning Candidate- the Man who can take the NPP to
victory in 2012.
All said and done, Ghana, our beloved country, is our only
God-given heritage. It is only ourselves, and no one else, who
can make it a better place to live in. It is high time,
therefore, we all resolved to do our best in whatever roles of
responsibility that have been entrusted to each and everyone of
us.
It is only when our nation is blessed with citizens such as Alan
Kyeramateng who are truly patriotic and dedicated to duty,
honest and committed to truth and justice, and are hardworking
that we can turn Ghana into the land of freedom, justice and
peace for all. This is what we wish for our dear country. This
is what we promise to work tirelessly for. This is what we are
praying for. Vote for Alan for hope and prosperity. Vote for
Alan K, the gentleman’s gentleman. Vote for Alan K, the man for
the future, He is my man. Do not waste your vote.
