pressure grows on Mugabe
June 13, BBC - Forty of Africa's most
prominent figures have published an open letter calling for
Zimbabwe's presidential run-off to be peaceful and fair.
The warning came as Botswana became the first of Zimbabwe's
neighbours to protest against the detention of two senior
Zimbabwean opposition leaders.
President Robert Mugabe wants to extend his 28-year rule in the
27 June poll.
