Nigerian MPs on hunger strike

Lagos - Members of southern Nigerian Bayelsa state assembly have
gone on hunger strike to protest over the abduction of the
mother of the assembly's president a week ago, said reports on
Tuesday.
The parliamentarians had also adjourned sitting for seven days
from Tuesday to press their demand for the release of
70-year-old Hansel Seibarugu, seized by gunmen late last
Tuesday......
