Kumasi, Feb 26, Ghanadot/GNA - The Suame Constituency executive of the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) in Kumasi was inaugurated at Anomangye in Kumasi at the week-end.

The 17-member executive is under the chairmanship of Mr M.A. Saddam, Mr Yahaya Zakaria, First Vice- Chairman, Mr Michael Damoah, Second Vice-Chairman and Mr Iddrisu Yahaya, Secretary.

Other members are Mr Mustapha G. Winfred, Organizer, Mrs. Rosemond Oppong, Women’s Organizer, Mr Joseph Acheampong, Youth Organizer and Mr Isaac Boateng, Treasurer.

Madam Ama Pokuaa, Ashanti Regional Women’s Organizer of the party, said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had failed Ghanaians and urged Ghanaians to vote NPP out of office and give the mandate to the PFP in 2008 election.

She said plans were far advanced by for the party to inaugurate all its constituencies in Kumasi and select parliamentary candidates for the 2008 elections and appealed to the executives and supporters to work harder to ensure the victory of the party in the elections.

She appealed to the supporters of the party to work in cooperation with the executives to ensure the development of the party.

Mr Abdul Karim, Ashanti Regional Deputy Youth Organizer, said under the NPP administration, the woes of Ghanaians including teachers and farmers had increased as a result of bad governance.

He said “majority of teachers and farmers worked tirelessly to push NPP to victory with the hope that their lives would be improved” but still they did not experience that during the party’s rule.

The said the DFP would transform the country and put the economy on a sound footing and appealed to the people to vote for the party in 2008 elections.

Mr Saddam said the government had failed to honour its campaign promises to improve the living conditions of the people and called on Ghanaians to vote for the DFP.
