WAEC School Certificate Examination  results are in

Accra Feb. 24, Ghanadot/GNA - The provisional examination results of ninety five thousand one hundred and twenty seven candidates (95,127) who sat for the November/December 2007 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) have been released, the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) said on Sunday.


In a statement signed in Accra by Mrs. Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, Senior Public Affairs Officer for the Head of National Office, WAEC said the entire results of 562 candidates have been withheld pending the conclusion of investigations into various irregularities committed.


The statement said out of the total number of candidates, eight thousand five hundred and forty-two (8,542)passed in eight subjects; seven thousand and forty- two (7,042) passed in seven subjects, six thousand nine hundred and twenty-four (6,924), passed in six subjects; seven thousand, seven hundred and ninety-six (7,796) passed in five subjects.


Ten thousand and sixty-eight (10,068) candidates passed in four subjects; thirteen thousand, four hundred and thirty-three (13,433) passed three subjects; fourteen thousand, eight hundred and ninety-eight (14,898) passed in two subjects, whiles thirteen thousand three hundred fifty-nine (13,359) passed in one subject.


According to the statement, a total of nine thousand, three hundred and forty (9,340) candidates failed in all subjects.


No candidate’s results were cancelled.


It said, although the results were being dispatched to the mails of candidates, they could also access their results online.
