NMC
cautions media against electoral rumours
Accra, Dec. 9, GNA - The National Media
Commission (NMC) has urged the media to be cautious and
reject all manner of electoral rumours and outcomes.
Mr George Sarpong, Executive Secretary of the
Commission, who made the call said it was important the
media appreciated that at this "critical stage", the
sole legitimate authority for declaring results and
officially pronouncing upon them was the Electoral
Commission (EC).
The NMC congratulated the media for good job done by its
successful coverage of the poll.
