NPP Activist: Ayariga and Zita demonstrated ignorance
Audrey Micah

An NPP Activist, Yaw Adomako Baafi, has described as “ignorant”, the responses offered by Presidential Spokesperson, Mahama Ayariga and Information Minister, Zita Okaikoi, and their swift rubbishing of media reports on the acquisition of new jets.

He has however, commended the efforts by the Defence Minister, Lt General J.H Smith, in clarifying the issue.

In an interview on Peace FM, Mr. Baafi opined that the inefficiency of President Mills’ communications team has once again been brought to the fore. According to him, the two personalities practically tripped over each other in their answers on the purchase of the jets.

“Ayariga explanations were totally off-track, whiles Zita was a bit closer to the truth, but General Smith proved the biblical saying true that, “wisdom lies in grey hair,” he stated.

According to him, had the Defense Minister spoken in advance, the two government communications experts would have been spared this public ridicule.

“If the man had spoken earlier, the ignorance demonstrated by Ayariga and Zita would not have been so clear… evidently they were uninformed and their lack of knowledge on the issue was so obvious and negligible,” he said.
